Historical Information

The Mohawk Dormitories were 4 barracks style temporary dormitories that were built after World War II. These buildings were built by the Federal Public Housing Administration to accommodate the overflow of students after the war. On January 11, 1951 a fire destroyed part of one of the Mohawk Temporary Dormitories. In 1954 all four of the temporary dormitories were removed.
