The grave of university benefactor John Purdue is located south of University Hall on Memorial Mall. John Purdue, the namesake of the university, lived from 1802 to 1876. A fountain, seating area, and statue of Purdue himself are nearby. The statue was made possible by alumni, friends, and the Order of the Iron Key Class of 2012 members.
