A grand stand was built next to Stuart Field and the armory in 1900. On February 24, 1916, the bleachers were damaged during the fire in the Armory. A total of $68 of the repair cost was covered by insurance. An addition was added in 1921 and, in 1925, the bleachers were removed to make room for tennis courts.
