Historical Information
In 1969 a permanent Grand Prix racetrack was created. Previously, the race track was in the Ross-Ade Stadium parking lot but it needed to be moved during the expansion of the stadium. This new, smaller, safer, and more interesting race track was constructed at the corner of Cherry Lane and Northwestern Avenue. This new race track also included temporary bleachers and a permanent fence.
