Historical Information
The Grand Prix track was moved to its present location at the corner of McCormick Road and Cherry Lane in 2009 to make room for the addition to Mackey Arena. The new stadium contains the track, stands for spectators, and a restroom facility. The first race held on the new track was in 2009 for the fifty-second annual Grand Prix. The new track is four feet wider than the original track to make additional space for all of the kart crews and the race crew.
