Historical Information

The Franklin Levering Cary Hall Northeast building was the second building built in the Cary Quadrangle. When it was built, the building had rooms for 116 students, all of which are furnished similar to the first building. It also contained lounges, a women's reception room, a manager's office, and living room suit, a dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. This building was originally intended to be a women's dormitory but, due to legislative issues with the land, construction was delayed until the decision was made that it would be more advantageous to build a men's dormitory. 3 more buildings were constructed to form the Cary Quadrangle. The entire quadrangle was remodeled during a six year renovation project from 2000 to 2006.
