Historical Information

Folk Field, originally the Varsity Soccer Complex, was built in 1998. At this time, two fields were constructed, one for games and one for practices, in order to reduce the amount of wear to the field. Folk Field was remodeled in 2007 to improve the drainage system and add Bermuda grass. During this renovation, Plexiglass shelters were also added. In 2011, lights were installed to allow for night games. In 2012, the complex was heavily remodeled and a new building was added. The new structure contains locker rooms, meeting rooms, an athletic training room, and press box. The locker room has many amenities such as a flat-screen TV, mini fridge, and personalized lockers. The complex also contains a press box, meeting rooms, concessions stands, bathrooms, and grand stands.
