Historical Information
In 1890, the original Dairy Building was built on the Purdue Farm; however, the exact location is unknown. This building contained four rooms including a room for setting milk, a room for curing cheese, a work room, and an ice house. In 1894, a fifth room was added as a testing lab and contained a separator and a churn. The end date is unknown but is estimated to be in 1905 when the new dairy barn was built.
