Historical Information
Originally called the Graduate House II, George A. Hawkins Hall consists of two wings. One wing is nine stories tall with double rooms and the other is 12-stories high with single rooms. It was built to accommodate 872 students and contains mechanical equipment on the top floor. Several private baths are located on each floor and allow for rooms to be altered into suites if needed. It was renamed the Graduate House West in 1968 and then the George A. Hawkins Graduate House in 1981.
