Cattle Barn (West Lafayette, Ind. : 1919-1958)

The Cattle Barn was built in 1919. It was an A-frame structure made of stucco, tile, clay, and concrete. The main portion of the barn was 98 by 65 feet and had two attached wings that were 68 by 34 feet. The building contained stalls, storage and feed rooms, a grain elevator, grinding machinery, and scales. It was also known as the Beef Cattle Barn and was one of two cattle barns on campus at the time.
