Historical Information

The Civil Engineering Building was built in 1906. When it was built, it contained two main floors and an attic story. The first story was devoted to sophomores and beginning classes in field and office work. In the east end, a large room for the sophomore class was created for students to work on mapping, computing, and demonstration work. The building had an addition added in 1928, was renovated in 1967, and was renamed Grissom Hall in 1968.
