Apollo 11, part of NASA's Apollo Program, was the first mission in human history to land on Earth's moon. Mission astronauts included Commander Neil Armstrong, Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin, and Command Module Pilot Michael Collins. Apollo 11 launched July 16, 1959 and concluded July 24, 1969. The moon landing occurred July 20, 1969.
