Apollo 17 was the eleventh manned space mission in the NASA Apollo program and the sixth and final lunar landing mission of the Apollo program. Mission astronauts included Commander Eugene A. Cernan, Lunar Modual Pilot Harrison H. Schmitt, and Command Module Pilot Ronald E. Evans. Apollo 17 launched December 7, 1972 and concluded December 19, 1972.
