Purdue Gimlet Club
Organization
Historical Information
One of the oldest organizations on Purdue's campus, the Gimlet organization was founded in 1922 as a booster club for Purdue varsity athletics and composes the nucleus of the cheering section. Gimlet is a Greek leadership honorary whose membership is comprised of students within the fraternity and sorority community. Most often, one can find Gimlets standing by the north endzone on Saturdays in the fall either doing push-ups when the Boilermakers score, or ringing the Victory Bell after a victory.
