Collection of Locomotive Building Blueprints

Scope and Contents The Collection of Locomotive Building Blueprints (1894-1965; 15.7 linear ft.) documents the foundation and structure of the locomotive testing laboratory at Purdue University. It also shows a later development of the building in the form of a garage and storage building.  Types of materials include: blueprints. The Blueprints are organized in chronological order.

Collection of Midwestern maps

Scope and Contents The Collection of Midwestern Maps (1825-1925; 7 linear feet) documents roads, counties, and geography of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Illinois. It features several pocket maps, including one attached to the inside cover of a small travel booklet. Some maps note territory status of current states, such as Michigan. Not all counties are represented on all maps. One map is written in French.
