Theodore Morris papers

Scope and Contents The Theodore Morris papers document the education and professional work of 1906 Purdue graduate Theodore Morris. The papers include his mechanical engineering assignments, engineering and metallurgy notebooks, and documentation related to his 1934 patent for an "Aggregate Treating Apparatus" for use in "drying sand, stone, and other mineral aggregate for use with asphaltic cement and other bituminous materials for paving purposes."

His notes from a Botany class include small drawings and sketches among the notes. The diary includes descriptions of friends, local places, and daily activities. The diary and notes give a sample of early student life at Purdue.

Wilbert H. Krack photographs

Scope and Contents The Wilbert H. Krack photographs (1930-1934; 0.1 cubic feet) encompasses ten photographs of Triangle Fraternity, twelve photographs of buildings from around campus, twenty-five photographs of sets and scenes from various plays and four miscellaneous shots. Krack was a member of the Play Shop Board, so there are many good images from play sets. The images have been placed in an acid-free folder and arranged by each of the four categories.

Schmitt scrapbook (1917-1932; 0.3 cubic feet) consists of black and white photographs from Schmitt’s early family life, including Greencastle High School, days as a Purdue student, and some of his travels after graduation from Purdue.  It also includes dance cards, a few programs and autographs from Purdue classmates from his days spent as a Purdue student.  Some of the Purdue photographs include pictures of Theta Chi, the Mechanical Engineering building, the Library and Memorial...
