Historical Information

The Mary L. Matthews Club was founded in 1952 with the purpose to study trends for modern living. At the time of its creation, all its members were affiliated with Purdue University and included both faculty and students. Distinguished members include Mary L. Matthews, one of the founding members, and Lillian Stewart. The club still meets today, though their purpose has shifted to focusing more on community-based issues.
